What’s it like to be an intern at ACG?
Previous ACG Intern Isaac Zaman weighs in:
Taking the opportunity to be an ACG intern may seem like quite the commitment, but it is a fun, kind, accepting job that will make you feel right at home despite any varying levels of experience (we even hired a computer science major one year!). You get to really connect with your coworkers and engage with the garden community, and you can learn valuable skills that build up your resume with the surrounding spheres of public horticulture. You will keep yourself busy with various things around the garden, from weeding and transplanting, to watering and giving plant talks! Here you will never be short of things to do and it is always fulfilling to see the garden spick and span after you get done with it! The garden is a neutral work environment where you are encouraged to ask questions and have a fun time while you are doing things. If you want to make money, build your professional experience, and have fun times and vibes in the garden, then you are already a perfect candidate for this opportunity – think about it!
